Two years ago Ian created the character ‘Quercus’, a seven-foot sculpture carved from a huge branch which fell from a 500-year-old oak tree. Over the past two years he developed the concept of Quercus as a story and combined it with an energetic performance and workshops at festivals and children’s groups.

Ian is a poet and teller of tales. In 2011 he was voted as the first Bard of Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire, having enjoyed local and festival success as a performance poet.
